Lazy, feel-good weekend in progress here, ladies & germs...I'm still basking in the glow of success from Thursday. We went out to the Las Olas strip last night, had a fine dinner at Indigo in the Riverside Hotel. Wandered around a bit till the crowds got on our nerves then cruised down Ocean Drive with the music blaring and the convertible top down. Sigh. It may be true that you can't go home again, but it's also true that you can act like the teenager you never were 'again'. Heh.
Despite appearances, knitting progress has been made. Thank you, Cookie, for the hints on the raglan decreases on Carla! I ripped three times before finding her description of how she managed the decreases. It worked and I should have a finished back of Carla by dinnertime with pictures to follow. Now that I've gotten through the worst of the possible FUs, am hoping that the front and sleeves will fly.
I also swatched for a Ponchetta pattern and yarn (Gedifra Serano in chocolate brown) picked up last weekend at the LYS. Some photos of that, too. And last but definitely not least, Secret Pal Swag! A slimey, limey green envelope awaited me from Saturday's mail and my SP sent a CD compilation and second lovely daisy card. Edgy, indie-alt music from the look of the track titles... Will listen to it tonight at home (CD player was stolen out my car a few months ago and a new one won't go in till I get an alarm installed) and report in the 11 pm news-post. later, chicas.
Edgy and alt...yes and no. You'll see.... ;)
