I have not forsaken you, I am just busy and tired from not sleeping due to shoulder pain from the accident last year. I'm raggedy and no 'count. Just can't deal with wrassling a photo shoot of the Eternal Dulaan Scarf nor the hourglass sweater.
So in keeping with the "...and anything else my little heart desires" tag line on the blog, go read Ruth Reichl's wonderful Garlic and Sapphires. It's the story of her six years as the food critic of the New York T*mes. And dude, she does kick ass and take names.
As Mari put it so succinctly in comments a post or two ago, "her palate is the real thing." Heh. I want her hair. And her red, red lips.
Have you read MFK Fisher or Elizabeth David? Such different women, and yet reading both them taught me completely different ways to think about food as part of life.
Good stuff. And that is some fantastic hair.
Feel better.

I can't wait to read that book. There are like 30 people ahead of me in the hold queue at the library. I hope they're all fast readers!

Rats that you feel pain! I was wondering if you were having fun or just what. You must have someone take your picture in the Hour Glass. I'm thinking I need that sweater.

Ruth Reichl is a good food critic. I read her last 2 books and so I expect this will be just as interesting.
