Am still re-adapting to tropical paradise down here. However the gods have smiled upon me and sent a blast of cool, dry and very windy air to south Florida. If it makes 65 today that will be pure luck. And tonight it goes down to 49 or so. A little reminder of higher altitudes and desert sage, eh? Am lovin' it. I want to keep the energy and healthy outlook thing going. Neena and Don and Margene & Marshall were excellent influences. Eat healthy, work out, ski yer brains out (or snowboard), laugh a lot, ogle the scenery, apply grapefruit juice and vodka as needed. Worked for me. I highly recommend it.
No pictures just yet, Miss Neena has posted the KolOb (not KolUb) pictures already so go get yer fix there. Maybe tomorrow morning over a cuppa green jasmine pearl tea I'll clear the chaos enough to affix camera to fruit and upload the pictures.
Tonight Gracie and Marlene are coming for dinner and I'm replicating Neen's delicious chicken shish kebabs, tzatziki, rice and salad. Some yum good. Pictures maybe. If we drink enough wine. heh.
Knitting, you say? Well, there was minor stash enhancement at the Black Sheep in Salt Lake City. Some Zen Colors sale yarn for a tank for mom and Margene the Baby Alpaca pusher, pushed me right over in front of the bins of Baby Twist Alpaca. I came away with 5 skeins of it in black (I know, have my head examined) for a scarf and hat for my wool-allergic, Finland-dwelling friend, Gomez. She of the wild Latvian excursion last October (scroll down when you link). I suppose you want pictures of that, too, greedy sows. next post.
Enjoy your evening. It was near 70 here today but more rain or snow tomorrow.

Wow. I don't think I've EVER been an excellent influence before. :-)
How were your chicken kebabs?

Weather like this is why we live in South Florida, right?
So glad my Augie story nets your Gomez a gorgeous new alpaca scarf :)

Thanks for sending me to Neena for the entertaining recipe (I remember the exploded version). I loved your comment, and didn't realize you were a free agent at this point. Any chance you want to join up with Margene, Snow, Carol and I to go to Estes Park? I am sure we would have a blast hanging out together. That may be the extent of my traveling for awhile, although if it would just dry out the next two weeks, we would take a foothills spring packing trip with two burros in mid-April.
